At True Colours, I seek to provide compassionate and inclusive care to LGBTQIA+ youth and their families. I understand the unique challenges that arise during this journey of self-discovery and self-acceptance and I am here to walk alongside you every step of the way.
For young people, I seek to create a safe, non-judgmental environment where young individuals can freely explore their gender and sexuality and navigate problems that may arise from feeling 'different'. I am passionate about working with young people and draw upon a number creative therapies and interventions such as play therapy, art therapy and sand tray therapy.
For families, I offer a supportive space to process emotions, ask questions, and gain insights into the experiences of their LGBTQIA+ loved ones. Through open dialogue and education, I aim to strengthen family bonds and foster a deeper understanding and acceptance.
My approach is based on empathy, respect, and evidence-based practices, ensuring that each counseling session is tailored to meet the specific needs of our clients. I believe that by embracing one's identity, and with the support of their families, LGBTQIA+ young people can thrive and lead fulfilling lives.
I am registered at the Clinical level with Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) and completed my Masters of Counselling through the University of Queensland (UQ).
